The Rides at Meadowlake Park

The rides at Meadowlake Park have been providing entertainment to Enid residents and visitors for several generations.

TRAIN

The Kiwanis train, "City of Enid Express," is the second train to be operated by the Enid Kiwanis Club. The engine is a replica of the 1863 C. P. Huntington, and was purchased along with the three cars in 1963. The train carries an average of 15,000 passengers a year over 1.2 miles of track, through a tunnel, and over two bridges.

CAROUSEL

The carousel was originally used by a traveling carnival. It resided during the fifties at the Lake Hellums Amusement Part north of Enid. After being purchased by the AMBUCS, it was moved to its current location in 1957. The Kiwanis Club has operated the carousel since 1982. In recent years the horses have been undergoing renovation, as has the electrical system.

CARS & AIRPLANES

The cars and airplanes, also known as the kiddie rides, are also fixtures on the Meadowlake Park scene.

The rides at Meadowlake Park are open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm weekdays and 3:30 pm to 9:00 pm Saturdays and Sundays. Intermittently, the rides are rented out to groups for special occasions.

For rental information, visit the Forms page.

Meadowlake Park is located on Rupe just west of Van Buren Street.
